The Trumpet
The trumpet is a instrument in the brass family with the highest pitch.  Trumpets were around 1500 BC or earlier with makes it one of the oldest instruments.  This brass tubing is constructed with two bents in a oblong shape and needs forced air though closed lips, making a buzzing sound, which makes a vibration wave inside the trumpet.  Trumpets did not have valves at first.  Modern trumpets have either 3 piston valves or 3 rotary valves which helps lengthening the tubing and makes a lower pitch.

The most common trumpet is in a B flat pitch, but not all though professional trumpets are known to be in a different note including but C, D, E-flat, E, F, G and A trumpets. And gives it a brighter or a lively sound.
